about vivianne

Vivianne has been teaching yoga for 4 and a half years, and practicing for much longer. She strives not for perfection, but progress. In her classes, enlightenment is not when your nose touches your knee, but when you experience a breakthrough physically, mentally, spiritually, or otherwise. Everyone shows up to a yoga class for a different reason, and Vivianne recognizes that, welcoming all skill levels.

She has her Master's of Public Health from the University of Michigan, is a Registered Dietitian, and has her RYT 500 Certification. She has taught as part of RYT 200 hour teacher trainings, and her specialties include knowledge in the chakras, yoga sutras, and yoga nidra.

Vivianne recently relocated to Tempe, AZ, and is on the search for her next yoga home. Her Tiny Buddha Yoga family in Ann Arbor will always be in her heart.

I’ve attended several of Vivianne’s classes, ranging from slow burn to yin, and her kind soul and love of yoga fill the studio. She is aware of each student in her class and tailors the classes to the perfect combination of challenging and refreshing. I always leave her classes feeling rejuvenated and strong, both mentally and physically.

Vivianne helped lead the yoga teacher training that I participated in and I always looked forward to the days when she taught. Vivianne has a calming presence that was much needed during an intensive month-long teacher training. She was reassuring, patient, encouraging and thorough in her teaching. She always had a huge smile on her face and was more than happy to answer questions and spend additional time helping us improve our skills as teachers in training!

I was lucky enough to earn my RYT 200 certification at Tiny Buddha Yoga, where Vivianne is a member of the teacher training faculty. Vivianne has the utmost respect for yoga culture and is enthusiastic and eager to share her extensive knowledge of philosophy, as well as her expertise in anatomy. I feel very fortunate to have studied under her.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Vivianne is as a person, and a teacher. Vivianne taught the first yoga class I’d ever been too and I am so grateful. Because of Vivianne’s thoughtful, loving perspective and guidance yoga has become much more than physical accomplishments for me. It has become a true respite for my mind and spirit- a place I can go to for the rest of my life. Vivianne teaches and shows a beautiful, approachable, and challenging yoga that brought me to every class I could go to.
